August 1: protesters lined the hallway outside @SenJohnThune's office; Judge Kavanaugh was expected

Hallie Jackson Retweeted:

A couple hundred protesters have lined the hallway outside @SenJohnThune’s office where Judge Kavanaugh is expected to arrive for a meeting with the Senator. They’re being silent and many are holding up a fist—>

Update: The protesters have been told this meeting will no longer happen in Thune’s office (its unclear if it’s happening elsewhere). They’re moving on to the next meeting Kavanaugh has on the schedule.

“If he can’t have these meetings, if Senators can’t talk to him one-on-one then they have no business supporting his nomination.” - Jennifer Flynn Walker told protesters.

Thune’s office says the meeting with Kavanaugh still happened, but the location was moved to the Capitol.
