Alan Watts - why not now?

The Venerable Watts!

There are currently many excellent lectures by Mr. Watts on Youtube. His philosophical skill and understanding of Buddhism provides a scintillating and provocative synthesis that is just as relevant -- if not more so -- today as it was decades ago. Reading his books proved to be an enlightening experience similar to finding a treasure trove between two leaves of illustrated cardboard.

One can highly recommend Watts for anyone interested in, or practicing, Buddhism, however, that is not a requirement because his cogent and fascinating insight is widely useful and applicable as well as stimulating and provocative. Watts lays out a gourmet feast of food for thought.

This is an audio lecture on basic meditation. Watts into to Zen practice, yet that does not limit his subject matter in his talks. Check-out the other lectures for a wide and ornate panache of philosophical investigation and wonderful illuminations. Don't miss them if you are curious.

Here's to your discursive, verbal thinking!

Thanks for reminding me of him. I will go look for his lectures on YouTube because I can't get this video to work.

Oddly, on preview, with just the link, it was showing-up.

The code isn't working right, or it wouldn't show, but at least it does work now.

I think div tags might work or maybe an upgrade needs to be done here because Youtube is using something different.

Anyway, thanks for letting me know.
