Want to find a Buddhist center or Sangha near you?

This site will help you find any Sanghas, monasteries, or Buddhist centers near you. Sadly, there's only one near me and I don't think Tibetan Buddhism is for me. Anyway here's the link: http://www.buddhanet.info/wbd/region.php?region_id=1

Nothing that is less than 80 miles from me.
I used to go to a Mahayana Temple in Houston dedicated to Kwan Yin (Jade Buddha) and I really liked it.

I practice Tibetan Buddhism, Karma Kagyu lineage. I practice a simple Guru Yoga sadana. Sadly, I cannot afford the gas to drive 3 hrs to Dallas, Houston, or Austin.

I am new to all of this, I was at an actual Buddhist temple in China, and am interested in the practice of Buddhism. I never realized that there were so many types of Buddhism. Anyway, there are a few centers in Iowa City, about 50 miles from here.
