Han. I wonder if she would not appreciate this new information. As I understand it, the Han are proud of their purity. I think I will wait until she finds this information herself.

2. That's the comforting thing about being Sicilian.

Knowing that the island has been invaded by every would be world-conqueror over the millennia, I have no illusions about being pure anything. I can only imagine how messy my genotype is.

Phenotypically, everyone in my family looks very much alike, but we probably have Greek, Roman, North and possibly Sub-Saharan African blood in us. Then there were the Arabs and even the Vikings. In fact, it always amazes me how many Italian-Americans can be so racist, but ignorance and hubris find a way, I suppose.

3. Ha! Purity is not something to build

an identity on. I disown half of my Irish/German heritage. The German half are cruel, mean, and "superior" so I ignore them. The Irish part has also been conquered many times but still maintain a good sense of humor. I'll take that over purity any day.
