This is the story of 2 photos taken 3 hours after the blast, on the Muyuki bridge. So sad.

Back around 1970 Japan sent an exhibit of Atomic bomb artifacts, and photos to travel around the US. NYC was one of it's first stops. I was already aware of the effects, but seeing big photos, and items was very sobering.
(It'd be particularly like young people since the 2010's seeing photos, and artifacts of 9-11 in the memorial museum.)
Controversial - It made me think even more so; feeling if we were going to use it; use it first on an uninhabited near by island to show it's destructive power.
