Mochi, Mochi, Mochi!!!



*Mochi is Japanese rice cake made of mochigome, a short-grain japonica glutinous rice. The rice is pounded into paste and molded into the desired shape.

Here's the pricelist of a typical mochi donut shop in Japan. Prices start at 130 yen, or about $1.30.

Maybe I'll make a third trip there soon.

I've done the four major East Asian countries (lived in Korea, live in China, been to Japan, been to Mongolia).

Working on SE Asia now (been to Thailand, Singapore and Philippines). Siem Reap in Cambodia is next.

Limited expenses. . .house stipend on top of the salary, full health/dental paid by the school.

Think about coming to Asia to work.

it's pretty good. It's definitely different from the stuff I usually run across.

That cutting thing in the video is one of the neatest things I've seen in a while. Totally going to buy one of those.

i tried mochi ice cream once which i remember liking.
