Goodbye my Gao Gao :(

Gao Gao, a giant panda who lived at the San Diego Zoo for many years, returned to China this week. The panda was in San Diego on a research loan agreement with the People's Republic of China as conservationists worked to save the species from the verge of extinction over the past couple of decades.

How often did you get down there to see him?. I hope the SF Zoo is doing well. I live in Portland Oregon now & the Zoo is a very good Zoo. No Panda's but we do elephants right. Their brand new swimming pool is awesome.

I really miss Leon's BBQ across the street from the SF Zoo-is it still there?

And I saw Gao Gao MANY times with my zoo season pass, he was always my favorite because he was so playful. I literally could watch him eat bamboo leaves all day but they keep people moving due to the popularity. We still have pandas but I will miss him the most!

I can understand why he(she) will be missed.
