that giant lizard scooping up a policeman who shot at Godzilla. His legs sticking out of that mouth.

I have seen most of the movies, for years and don't recall any scene where people were actually eaten.... Not even Shin Godzilla! The American version, with the babies...they had the potential but we never saw people eaten... and besides the American version in 1998 really was bad.. it was like the Simpsons, (most of the cast seemed to be in this movie...??) meets Godzilla. I mean I could almost hear
actress Nancy Cartwright say in the voice of Bart Simpson, " Eat My shorts, Man" at the lizard!

By Ishirō Honda in 1954. I’m not sure what year I saw it but it had to be 57-58 in New Orleans. That would’ve made me 7 or 8.
