(24,411 posts)It's like I tell my kids, who are in middle school and high school, "When people lie about you and say derogatory things about you, they're really revealing more about themselves than they ever could about you."
It makes them look desperate. And stupid.

(7,499 posts)Bernie is honest, principled and ethical, and the Clinton campaign is going to lose more support by lying and going negative. HRC has been around politics for decades. Apparently she hasn't learned a thing.

(7,231 posts)So she managed to disappoint me still. She confirmed my idea that anything and anyone coming from Clinton cannot be trusted.

(11,785 posts)All along, it's seemed like Hillary didn't learn a thing from '08. She's making all of the same mistakes, including a willingness to say anything. Either she doesn't understand how badly this shit can backfire with ordinary people or she simply can't help herself.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Hillary is her own worst enemy. Bernie's running a good campaign, but on some level, Hillary is defeating herself.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
