(8,696 posts)EVERY major industrialized nation on Earth seem to manage well. What, they can do it but we can not? Is it because we are a bunch of special flowers? So special, we have to do it in a way that puts more money in only a few pockets and keep allowing teapublican governors to restrict and dismantle the ACA in their state?
First, it does not dismantle the healthcare industry. Medicare hasn't dismantled it so far, has it? Medicare for all will not hurt us but help us.
While we will likely pay some sort of tax, we will no longer pay for health insurance at our jobs or through the ACA. Why is that so hard to understand?
Every major industrialized nation on Earth has slightly higher taxes than us but have better elder care, better health outcomes for less money per capita and a better university system at less cost per capita (as a tax) than we do in the U.S. now (paid out of our pocket...often a life long debt)

(20,174 posts)A transaction tax on Wall Street to pay for college tuition at state colleges and universities.
A less than 1% payroll tax to pay for family medical leave.
A payroll tax of 2.2% to pay for universal healthcare for all w/ employers paying 6.2%. No copays, no deductibles and no paying thousands a year in premiums to health insurance companies that consider our claims to be "medical losses".
It's on his website. If you choose not to read it doesn't mean the information isn't available.
