Clinton is politicizing the Flint water crisis...listen to Sen. Baldwin on Hardball.

I think it is disgusting that the Clinton campaign is making a concerted effort to exploit this crisis and make it appear SHE is the reason something was finally done.

She could lose Michigan. It is a swing state and if she is the nominee she needs to lock it up early so she can fight over Ohio and Florida (and Virginia, but she has a cronie who is Governor there).

This mess won't be fixed for a long long time, and even then the children will have health problems for their entire lives.

It would be an easy thing to have a big rally in Lansing and pull out some of the sound bites she is creating now to try and lock up Michigan early.

Bernie Sanders calls on Michigan’s governor to resign over water contamination in Flint

CHARLESTON, S.C. -- Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders on Saturday called for Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder (R) to resign amid mounting criticism of his administration’s slow response to a crisis over lead contamination in Flint’s drinking water.

“There are no excuses,” Sanders said in the statement. “The governor long ago knew about the lead in Flint's water. He did nothing. As a result, hundreds of children were poisoned. Thousands may have been exposed to potential brain damage from lead."

However this latest fluff turns out, I can assure you that Bernie is not "perfect" -- he's a mere mortal trying to do what needs to be done if this country is to be livable again for all of us, our children, and grandchildren. He cares more about people than about himself. That's a very, very good thing in a politician. Think about it.

It's time for a little political sanity. While you are trying to trash Clinton, try to remember it was already politicized. Don't expect you to.

is not politicizing anything. It's a large enough crisis to deserve attention by presidential candidates. Truly, it should have been one of the questions in the Democratic debate on Sunday. Kudos to Hillary for raising the issue herself.

Her attention helps to direct public attention to something that should have been corrected long ago and that should never have occurred in the first place.

Any of the candidates could have brought it up. Clinton did bring it up. I can't fault her for that.

How about having them talk about the children who are permanently damaged and the things that should be done to fix the pipes etc.

I'm pretty sure Sanders would not welcome this kind of crap nor would he be proud of any of his supporters saying this.

My god- please tell me you are not serious!

must be held accountable - by ALL the Dem candidates as a united front. Snyder and his cronies thought they didn't need to follow no stinkin federal water regulations - and this is the shameful result. I don't know how much more explicit an example of the failure of republican policy we need to get before we finally say ENOUGH of this crap! We peasants need to get our pitchforks and torches fired up and seriously think about storming the proverbial castle.

ilk don't want to follow fed water regulations - and as a consequence you irreparably harmed the health of many thousands of people and very likely contributed to the deaths of at least 10 people. Be a man and own up.

I know the Ayn Rand wanna bees and all the righties are going to be trying to rationalize this disaster and minimize their role in it.... but what really worries me is all the above posters who should be hoppin mad themselves - AT REPUBLICAN POLICY and philosophy of eliminating/reducing public services!!!! Not at any the Dem candidates who speak up about it.
