She is crazy! Joe S. had a fit when she said the panel was slanted 4 against 1 (essentially saying Joe was there promoting Dems). LOL

Also, Ann Coulter was her usual crazy self on This Week. <SMH>

She's not a serious political analyst and is a vile person who just engages in name-calling.

Amongst other things, last month she said that Obama's base is 'stupid single women' and that John Kerry is a 'gigolo'.

And Bay is the only one on there that is actually paid to do so.

No one is really watching these shows, and all of the people that do watch have already made up their mind, and if there are one or two undecideds that do watch it viewing Scarborough and Brooks take Romney campaign apart isn't going to get them much.

Probably even more than the polls. No "legitimate" Republican wants to be the Romney surrogate.

She doesn't deal with reality at all. I remember the weekend before the 2008 election she was on CNN with David Gergen and predicted that McCain & Palin would narrowly win the election even though they were behind by 7 points at the time. Gergen looked at her skeptically.

Pat Buchanan, although a prejudiced man to say the least, can at times be a decent political analyst and make some good comments about politics and history.

I saw that and was aghast.

She spent the first 5 minutes basically screaming everyone down, then had an absurdly horrid patch where he asked her about her book and she sincerely said that civil rights are just for blacks.

No shit, she said that.

The reviewer said something like "I didn't know that the history of the last several hundred years was the story of how black people have suppressed white folks."

Apparently that's what her book is about.

Chris is phenomenal every week. Today, he explored the history of Act Up and how it is the precursor to Occupy. It came to light that Act Up's first year didn't have lists of demands, so the media's whining about Occupy not having a list and is therefore doomed to die as a movement is just baloney. The woman who spoke for Occupy described the movement's organization and direction and it was fascinating.

This was just great television, that is all...

Both are intelligent and thoughtful. One (small) gripe I have about UP is that I wish the segments were longer. They barely get started on a subject until they have to break for a commercial, which is kind of annoying and jarring, too. It breaks up the continuity of a discussion, although Chris tries to bring it back together and tries to keep it mixed up with the viewpoints at the table. Occasionally they get someone who is very verbal (talkative!) and others won't get a word in edgewise. But usually it works out OK for those at the table who wish to contribute. Woe be to the one who is shy.....

I have to laugh at anyone who thinks they will take Chris on ...whether on his show or if he is a guest on another show.....and think they can one up him or catch him unprepared. He stopped Emile Henry in his tracks today when he tried to suggest that Unions were among Obama's biggest donors. Chris not only refuted the allegation, but had the numbers right in front of him and Henry had to concede that Chris was accurate. That is one of my favorite things about him....he is smart and well prepared!
