Sanders campaign of fear and distrust plays right into conservatives hand.

To be clear, Sanders spend most of his time running against things. Not hope and change as some have tried to make the case for. He is running against progressive institutions, the government, and anything he can remotely describe as "establishment." That includes him foolishly calling PP a part of the establishment knowing damn well his base of support is "anti-establishment.

This campaign of fear and distrust he is running is completely counter intuitive to democratic socialism. He is promoting distrust in government, then with the few detailed plans he has, is trying to then promote a massive expansion of government. It's bizarre to say the least.

Recently, right on this board, Clinton was called manic. Yet here we have someone spending well over half their time on the trail promoting distrust in government, while glossing over the expansion of government needed to accomplish his goals. Sanders needs to stop with all of the distrust rhetoric. It's simply oppositional to progress.

All candidates do it a bit. It's a cornerstone of the Sanders campaign.

Good luck with that, supporter of the person who invokes 9/11 when she can't answer questions about her ties to Wall Street and recently said Iranians were her enemies.

What a steaming, stinking pile.

or just "talking point" generalizations?
What, specifically is he against that we truly need? Why is it bad? Specifically Why do you disagree with his proposals? What credible evidence supports your assertions of "FEAR and DISTRUST?
Is he running against progressive institutions or the leaderships politics? Does he stand with the Memberships of these progressive institutions who object to leaderships decisions of said progressive groups or the "established in politics" leadership?
Long, long, long before Bernie even thought about running WE already Lost Trust. He is the only one who WOULD speak on our behalf on these issues. Why do you disagree with We, the People Finally having a Voice, en masse'?
What is "Democratic Socialism" to you and specifically why do you believe Sanders is counter intuitive?
Exactly what do you want the reader to understand in your plea to have Sanders Stop with all the distrust rhetoric and how is it oppositional to our progress? Is it really "rhetoric" or is truth too hard to handle here?
Again, he is voicing the Feedback from Us. Many, many people over the Years have cited Mis-Trust. It's one of the Main Reasons People Don't VOTE.
Now is your chance to lay out rationale as to Why I should vote for Clinton over Sanders.
Thanks in advance.

To be clear, Sanders spend most of his time running against things.

Let's see what he's running against:

Against child poverty
Against deminishing the middle class
Against keeping people in jobs with non-livable wages
Against college debt for all
Against real affordable healthcare
Against corporate insurance raking in billions at expense of people's health
Against people's life savings disappearing in the wake of Wall Street greed
Against endless war

Yeah - it's easy to see how this is a campaign not of hope or change!

Yes, I will lead us into war with Iran.
No, I won't push a single payer health care system.
Yes, I will take money from Wall Street.
No, I won't rein in Wall Street illegal activities.
No, I won't raise taxes on the the top 3%, because I consider anyone who makes $250,000 a year, middle class.
No, I won't raise minimum wage to $15

But hey, you MUST vote for me, because the other guy will be worse. So, suck it!

What Clinton offers is status quo, what the elites are flocking to her campaign to preserve is status quo. What Sanders is campaigning for, is a chance to alter the status quo: structural changes.

Clinton is the right candidate to keep things progressing as they are. Sanders is the right candidate if you want real progress. If that doesn't suit your worldview where tomorrow must be mostly like today except a little better: tough luck, man. Today is a struggle for most of us, and we cannot afford to settle for "just a little bit better".

Sanders is not the one attacking basic liberal goals for government like public coverage of healthcare, government supported college tuition, government anti-trust actions, "raising your taxes" etc.

Sanders is criticizing a fact that most people know in their guts -- our current government has been hijacked by the wealthy and powerful, and the interests of the majority of average Americans and the poor have been shut out of the process.

But at the same time, his message is that we can take back the government and open it up and recommit to the basic liberal goals that Clinton is working so hard to disparage.

It's simply Newton's third law. Every action requires an equal and opposite reaction.

For a growing, stable middle class. Against ever-increasing income disparity.
For universal health care. Against traditional health care price gouging.
For democracy. Against oligarchy.
Etc. Etc.
