2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumTownhall: Cuomo like a rabid dog hounding Sanders for a sound bite.
Right. Senator, then the pushback becomes how you pay. Now, in this room, you're preaching to the converted, somewhat, right? These are presumptively Democrats. But, you will hear people say that you're paying for it is actually punitive. You're going to punish people who make money, you're going to punish the financial district, you're going to punish and wind up changing the idea of an open and free economy because you're going to punish them for speculating. Which means they won't speculate as much, which means you won't get as much activity.
And, if you do a checklist of how you pay for everything, what you're doing is amassing the biggest government ever after President Clinton said the era of big government was over. It seems like Bernie Sanders is saying, Not only it's over, I'm going to do it bigger than ever.
CUOMO: ... What about the idea that you're bringing back the era of big government, and making it bigger than ever?
CUOMO: They don't criticize the goal, they criticize the method of how you achieve it. Give me a yes or no on that. Is the era of big government back with President Sanders?
This is utter bullshit. This was not done to anyone else. O'Malley's section was like an infomercial.
Notice: This is the same theme they were pushing in the Republican attack ad that people tried to argue was intended to help Bernie. Iowa is an OPEN primary. They are trying to drive away certain Democrats and Republicans of course many of you knew this because in the world of politics, the ends justify the means.

Huge conflict to hire the child of someone you want access to or favors from. Not kosher in the business world unless you're 1%ers. The it's de rigueur.

the order, having Clinton last (so she get's 'the last word' on everyone else) and she got way more time,
with NO commercial break <--commercials DID happen during both Bernie's and O'M's times.
It's hard to count all the ways it was buggered and tightly choreographed to boost Hillary's image,
and throw every nasty slur at Bernie they have, including "tax increase for big gov't", attacking him
over his age (overstating it to be 75, not 74), slipping in digs at Sanders as part of questions to
both O'M and Clinton, Cuomo greeting Hillary literally with a big hug an a kiss on the cheek, planted
questions (see: http://www.tubechop.com/watch/7629721 ) where the kid says "I see why they gave
me this question for you", and on and on it went.
It was one of the most egregious & obvious M$M-engineered kangaroo courts pretending to have a modicum
of 'fairness' that I've ever witnessed. Chris Cuomo was horrid, like one of those guys overseeing Hunger
Games.

(19,326 posts)that was actually run in a professional and unbiased way. Many of us older folks remember
how refreshing and informative those were, esp. compared to crap like last night.

It was pure stagecraft and manipulation.

He was not challenged on one thing. The whitewash of the mass illegal arrests of African Americans in Baltimore was disgusting. And talking about his plans for cities when Baltimore is filled with slums. Of course, he wanted to used over 3 million of taxpayers money to promote an organic produce thing (but hey that would have been a nice check list item for his presidential run).
