2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumSo that Culinary Union story...
Where the Bernie staff was sneaking into places and trying to convince union workers to support Sanders.
Odd story.
What's even odder is that the only source seems to be the union. And particularly the head of the Union Geoconda Arguello Kline.
I'm sure it would be purely a coincidence that she's "randomly" campaigned with Hillary?
That's her on the left.

(27,310 posts)There are no pictures. There are no videos.
CNN seems to be the only news organization that actually visited a casino and talked with at least one union member, a shop steward, who said that when Bernie supporters were onsite, they were clear about their affiliation.
Even the Vegas papers seem to be unwilling to actually do any sort of investigation. They just reword or quote the original report and throw in some extra words.

(6,309 posts)... conspiracy threads were supposed be in the Creative Speculation Forum........ where they belong. If not, then it is only fair the 9/11, chemtrails, no moon landing conspiracies etc be allowed in general discussion.

(7,318 posts)do a little investigative reporting on this to get all the facts:
Let me get you started:
1. Did Bernie supporters actually hand out Bernie literature in a union dining hall?
2. If, so, what are their names?
3. Were they actually "staffers" or simply volunteers?
4. Were they union members or family/friends of union members?
5. Did they identify themselves as Bernie supporters or did they explicitly misrepresent who they were and their purpose for being on site?
6. Did a union member knowingly give them access to these dining halls?
7. Did a union member provide them with the union buttons?
8. What exactly are the rules for who is allowed/not allowed in those dining halls?
9. What access security was in place at those halls?
10. What rules if any, are there against campaigning in those dining halls?
11. When did this take place?
The press release put out by one of the top union people was incredibly meger, so help us all out here and get some real facts. Thanks...

And the "hero" business is not only false, it's pathetic as a response. You can do better for the Democrats than that. Pick up the phone, get on a plane, do what you're supposed to do to get the facts.

(19,926 posts)you have lost the argument. Sad that someone who is supposed to be a political pundit lowers themselves to the trademarked BOGGER level of discussion.

(7,318 posts)nose and hunt around for a Fox News clip of him now. How he responds in text makes it hard to believe he is a bona fide Dem political pundit of any stripe, conservative or otherwise.

(57,757 posts)Let's add the union to the enemies list that includes PP, NARAL, the Human Rights Council, and the mothers of Trayvon Martin, Tamir Rice and Eric Garner (plus Al Franken and countless others).
It's amazing how many working-class and civil rights organizations are in on the anti-Bernie conspiracy. I wonder how they are able to get so many secret decoder rings?

(7,318 posts)of the union. The union's web site currently lists her as Secretary-Treasurer, but, oddly enough, positions her info before that of their current president, Ted Pappageorge!
She appears to be the real power behind the throne, so to speak. And SHE is the one who signed that low-info press release that turns out to have had no legs to it.
