it's beyond McCain- McCain's parents were out of the country

because he was stationed there by the US Military.

George Romney was born in Mexico to parents who fled the US to avoid federal prosecution for breaking the law. They were colonizing a LDS community in Mexico. They only left Mexico when the Mexican revolution broke out and they were afraid for their safety.

It's not a story I'd point to as being the American Ideal.

McCain was fully eligible imo. Mitt is also despite his grandparents shady actions. George Romney... not so sure he should have been according to the law.
