(14,449 posts)They are predicting snow even earlier then before especially in the western part of the state.

(58,785 posts)expect the weather to keep them home. Snow is expected to hold off until Mongpday night and especially Tuesday in Iowa. Needless to say, this is good for Bernie.

This really is the silly season.

(14,449 posts)But I never would have thought of this as a potential problem. I hope both campaigns have a handle on it.

(84,711 posts)I've broken my Boycott of MSM and today's views showed nothing but Pump Hillary/Diss Bernie and Media Whoring throughout!
I'm cutting out of now...Had Enough.
At this point Bernie is on the Wings of
's and for those of you Non Religious....lets just say he's on the "Wings of Truth" and we have to wish him the Best given what he is Up Against! And, I am confident that he has a Great Will to Survive if "The Force" is with Him...which I think it is!

(844 posts)My husband and I were phone banking today into Waterloo and Davenport Iowa. Of those that would talk, several were undecided but going to caucus. Several were strong Bernie, several strong Hillary. What does your precinct look like to you? Is it rural?

(1,615 posts)everyone has been piling on this guy
couldn't shake the feeling that throughout the demdebate they kept changing the topic to foreign policy in order to accomodate ms clinton.
i liked hillary before i saw her attack bernie with totally misleading political doublespeak nonsense during the last debate.
"sanders wants to kill obamacare! we must save obamacare!"
sorry but i'm with the Rs on this one, it's a crap law authored by the insurance companies, however, with the exception of bernie, no one's offering anything constructive, just "repeal! repeal! repeal!"
i'm so disgusted with all of this that it's actually motivating me to make a stronger effort for mr sanders here in my own state.

(50,130 posts)The person he talked about (don't remember the name) is a Clinton FIXER -- the one called when things are going really sour. Halperin made a big deal about this.

(4,466 posts)He and his partner have been there the past few weeks. The show airs on Sundays and it is very timely. You would like it, they've spent a lot of time behind the scenes with Bernie and his wife. So far, no shows have concentrated on Clinton, so maybe this week's show does and that is why he was with Hillary.

(9,527 posts)and somebody else is suggesting that the Clinton campaign might somehow steal the Sanders campaign's buses, do you want to reconsider your opinion of Sanders supporters given they seem to grab on to any and all conspiracy theories to slam Clinton regardless of any lack of viability of said conspiracy?

(316 posts)Interesting guy. http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php/Michael_J._Whouley
Halperin said he was traveling around Iowa with Bill Clinton. He asked Bill what it meant for Hilary's campaign and Bill said "probably something good."

JDPriestly
(57,936 posts)Whouley was a key strategist for both Al Gore in 2000 and John Kerry in 2004. Whouley helped jumpstart both Gore's and Kerry's comeback in the presidential primaries after they came close to being overtaken by Bill Bradley and Howard Dean respectively.
Whouley is regarded as one of the Democratic Party's best field strategists and as a result has earned the nickname "The Wizard". Despite this, he is fairly reclusive and very rarely does media interviews. He avoids reporters as much as possible.
Mark Halperin of Time reported on December 14, 2007 that Michael Whouley had been working for Senator Hillary Clinton's Iowa campaign for several weeks.[3] Whouley also ran Clinton's New Hampshire operation in January 2008.

(5,751 posts)Hillary will send over "n" number of Hillary voters to create a viable group, keeping those O'Malley voters from crossing over to Bernie.
I hope the O'Malley people, if any Hillary people come over, they should all walk en masse to the Bernie group. That would teach them!

(3,900 posts)The only way he could possibly lose is if he's the victim of conspiracy.
If he can't figure out how to avoid getting sandbagged in Iowa, how is he ever going to be able stand up to the Republican machine?

(3,431 posts)We have seen the 08 campaign by the Clintons, and
how very very "clean" it was. Her hiring Brock was
the clearest indication of their intentions.
And all of us know that the M$M will do everything
they can do against Bernie as well (see WP).
All we can do a) activate more in social media,
b)support SBS in as many ways
as we can.

Eh...but whoever heard of vote tampering? Or dirty tricks? Nah, never happens.
Hopefully the Bernie campaign has no illusions...
...and the Berners come out in droves!
