Secretary Clinton tonight on MSNBC

She was asked about the caucus strategy to send supporters over to O'Malley to keep him viable.

Her initial response? "This is the first I've heard about it". Really? Not that it's a big deal, but I'm sorry, I find that difficult to believe.

She said it was the first she had HEARD of it. Of course she then went on to say it had happened to her before and that it was a common practice, but apparently not one she had ever heard of before.

This is what happens when you tell so many lies. No one believes anything you say.

"This is the first I've heard about it" was in response to a question about what her campaign was planning. MSNBC had just chatted about it for a whole segment and she was on an airplane.

She went on to indicate that she had heard of this strategy. No kidding, it was done to her in 2008.

Are you really an attorney?

They have a phone app made especially for that purpose! But she's not heard anything about the strategy. Okay. Whatever you say.

I am impressed they even asked her about it.

Problem for her is this crap is out before the caucus happens.

I find it hard to believe that if something like that is planned, she doesn't know about it. Iowa is critical for Hillary because Bernie is going to take NH. Historically, if a candidate (Democrat or Republican) wins both states, they win the nomination.

I thought the rest of her response was fine, by the way. But the first time she's heard of her own campaigns' strategy? Come on now. Not the end of the world... Just not really necessary.

And her answer that she hadn't heard about hers using it. The commentary before they talked to her had been about it being a way she could potentially keep O'Malley voters from going to Sanders, but not that it was an actual plan her campaign had said they were using.

As I said, if it becomes available anywhere I'll post it. Meanwhile, I think she'll do fine.

Made specifically to help them employ the strategy. I find it hard to believe this is she first she had heard about it. But hey, maybe it was. Maybe she's the last to know what her campaign is planning.

That's part of the way the caucus works. I just didn't think it was necessary to claim she had never even heard that her campaign was using that strategy before someone told her tonight on MSNBC. I found that to be an unnecessary prevarication to what was otherwise a reasonable answer.
