(50,986 posts)Eagles a couple weeks ago here and there on the web. Turns out, though, a lot of people gave their respectful attention to a lot of Eagles songs coming out of their car dashboards in their late teens and 20s, and turns out also I don't blame them one bit.
I like "New Kid in Town," even as I know it's one of the most reviled songs in certain circles. I like it anyway. I like "Heartache Tonight," too, especially that final verse that goes:
"You can beat around the bushes
You can get down to the bone
You can leave it in the parking lot
But either way there's gon-
-na be a heartache tonight
A heartache tonight, I know."
Also check out the people who wrote the song: Glenn Frey, Don Henley, John David Souther, and Bob Seger.
There's gonna be some heartache tonight in Iowa. Clinton leads in the Selzer poll. Sanders is up in this Quinnipiac poll. Whoever wins, I think the primary race is going to continue. New Hampshire is the 9th. Super Tuesday is not far off. There's gonna be some bushes (probably not Jeb, though). Bushes and bones, heartaches and hallelujahs. I think the Democrats, by and large, are doing democracy a lot better than the Republicans.
Bernie has my primary vote. Blue has my general. May the Republicans stew in their own bigotry and then dissemble as a national entity altogether. No more snacks for the seditionist morons in Oregon. More diversity at the Oscars. And an arts renaissance for a web-wise world.
