(6,282 posts)The young voters have shown the establishment what we think. In 4 to 8 years with the new generation and more of an information aware electorate, the pro-corporate democratic establishment will be in serious peril.
And that's assuming Bernie doesn't ultimately win !

(418 posts)For the last 30 years I have worked as a social worker. I left computer programming for a major Corp to help others. For the last 5 years I have worked with people who have opiate addition. I was for Hillary in 2008 and I am for her now. I believe we need a fighter at the table rather than lofty ideals and more grid lock. Either way I am voting for my party.

(26,507 posts)is not that it was a 'virtual tie'. They will only hear that Hillary won Iowa. They won't take the time to learn how (by coin toss) or that Bernie - who was not supposed to even register on the screen and was subject to a media blackout during most of the run-up to the Iowa vote - basically and statistically tied Hillary.
That's the value of low info voters to Hillary.
As long as the billionaires keep backing Hillary and the MSM shapes the message - I don't know why those low info voters wouldn't continue to sustain her.
That's why we need to engage the youth vote and the pissed off middle class that are saying 'Enough is enough'.
