The Hill: "Sanders vows to stop Obama trade deal"

The main reasons I will not vote for Clinton is because she cannot be trusted at all and she is beholden to the oligarchy (because she is part of the oligarchy).

On the other hand, Senator Sanders is a real progressive democratic socialist and above all a statesperson.

The Hill: Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders on Wednesday said he would stop a sweeping Asia-Pacific agreement if he wins the White House.

The Vermont senator blasted the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) as trade ministers for the 12 trading partners in the deal gathered in New Zealand to sign it.

“As your president, not only will I make sure that the TPP does not get implemented, I will not send any trade deal to Congress that will make it easier for corporations to outsource American jobs overseas,” Sanders said.

If elected, Sanders said he would "fundamentally rewrite our trade policies to benefit working families, not just the CEOs of large, multinational corporations." Clinton advocated for the TPP agreement while she was secretary of State, arguing it would set a "gold standard" for trade accords. But she came out against the deal shortly after it was completed in early October.

I didn't see any real specifics as to why he's against it.

Personally, I think Obama trying to get it finished is a good thing.

If the TTP passes, America will lose it's sovereignty and Americans will be out of the few jobs that are still here...

TPP does not make America lose its sovereignty.

The job part can be debatable. I researched it a few months/year ago, I'd have to look back at what I did to remember what I came up with.

Stopping the TPP by itself is better for America and Americans.

All 'free trade' deals are disastrous for America.

The solutions (and up for discussion) are:
1. Repeal ALL trade deals.
2. Bring our factories and jobs back to America.
3. Restore and enhance tariffs.

being as great as it is, people would be in the streets cheering it's passage.

On top of that, it sounds like the Republicans plan on waiting until after the election to bring it up for a vote. They plan to pass it in the lame duck session after the election.
