I truly thought you were harshly mocking Sanders supporters. I thought it was way over the top. My apologies.

(29,503 posts)I don't have a link - I could probably find it, but that would be calling out. Others may recall the post - I know others responded to it.

Why, however, would anyone worry about their future over what they type on an anonymous discussion forum? That seems way silly to me.

What kind of fucked up, weird, conspiracy theory bullshit is this??
You do know that Skinner is a Clinton supporter, right?

(31,849 posts)But, she is not a HRC supporter and she was not doing it BECAUSE the posts were by Bernie supporters. She specifically, indicated that she was book-marking the posts because of their racist/open hostility towards African-American DUers (and those that support African-America DUers) content ... the fact that the posters happen to be Bernie supporters was beside the point.
Skwmom
(12,685 posts)that way.

(11,945 posts)Not possible.
Those who made that claim were trying to hurt Sen. Sanders with PoC.
1StrongBlackMan
(31,849 posts)Is calling Black folks that argue against economic primacy, "race-naggers" racist? What about questioning whether Black folks that support HRC are Stockholm Syndrome suffers? Or, to a less degree, calling Black folks that support HRC low information voters?

She said I called her shitty. I guess everything has to be an attack on the whole person's character with some people. There are no gray areas when people lead with emotion. I am over it.

(47,209 posts)Hint- saying you think something "was not enough" isn't actually calling anyone a racist. It is saying they are giving enough of a shit about racism in their campaign. Sanders himself agreed with that, and added to his platform.
And what is with :rotfl:, why is this funny to you? Skinner posts a fucking chart and has people accusing him of racism. You sure you want to stick to that story?
Deny and Shred
(1,061 posts)Apparently, there is a conspiracy to strip black voters of their political power. I tried to follow the logic, and did as asked ot try to understand. I got nothing but a cryptic reference to a larger problem that is supposed to be obvious. Take a look. Is it obvious to you? If so, help me out. It sure looks like someone is tracking Snagglepuss.

senz
(11,945 posts)I don't have a "story" about Skinner. I have nothing to "stick to." What are you trying to accuse me of?
What's funny is anyone suggesting that Bernie supporters have not been repeatedly accused of racism on this site. It has happened dozens if not hundreds of times. It's one of the stupidest tactics of Hill supporters, probably intended to bolster her firewall.
1StrongBlackMan
(31,849 posts)Nor, is noting that Bernie's crowds lack diversity ... Nor, is recounting the history of the exit "white radicals" from SNCC to take up residence in Vermont.
senz
(11,945 posts)It is an ugly accusation with no basis in fact. If anyone thinks they're helping Hillary with this tactic, then it just shows how cynical they are as it fits perfectly with her own dishonesty and cynicism.
It's hideous.
PeaceNikki
(27,985 posts)I also think that there's a tendency to get very defensive. There are racists and sexists that the Sanders campaign is desperately trying to manage. Live by Reddit, die by Reddit.
senz
(11,945 posts)I have never interacted with Skinner in comments.
PeaceNikki
(27,985 posts)I asked if Skinner has called you racist.
senz
(11,945 posts)A Hill supporter actually tried to deny that some here accuse Bernie supporters of racism.
You were kind enough to furnish a fresh example of it. So thanks, PeaceNikki.
PeaceNikki
(27,985 posts)I didn't call YOU or ANY DUer's racist or sexist. I didn't call ALL BS supports or MOST of them racists or sexists. I am referring to the very well-known, very vocal minority that the Sanders campaign is trying to work with. They exist.
And they are addressing it. Acting like it isn't a problem is naive and fucking stupid. Luckily the Sanders team knows this far better than you do.

(11,945 posts)Months ago, one of them mentioned in a comment to me that my hostility toward Hillary had been noted by "people."
However, I am safely retired and old enough to know that this is a crucial election for everything I have believed in my entire life.
It is our duty to speak out for what is right.
closeupready
(29,503 posts)that may be the thread I am recalling.
That person WAS asked for further clarification, but as far as I know, he/she declined to give any follow-up. It disturbed me, particularly since a primary SHOULD be as contentious as possible, while remaining as COLLEGIAL as possible (since in theory, the candidates are supposed to all be on the same side, i.e., the opposition to the GOP).
senz
(11,945 posts)I didn't know what to think or what they meant. The commenter is one of the few Hill supporters I actually like (on DU; there are plenty in real life), so I didn't question her about it. It seemed like she was cautioning me but I couldn't figure out why.

Just look at how they take anyone not supporting or endorsing the Bern as a stab in the back. Poor Sen Boxer. I remember when many of these very same people were all for sending her roses and all the praise she got around here.
Curious for thoughts. Do such discussions shut you down/make you fear for your future?

(35,176 posts)I doubt I will because there is nothing you can do about it anyway.
While I would have a hard time believing this I was threatened here once by someone who claimed to know where I lived, who I was and if Kerry did not win he would make certain I felt the pain of not backing him in the primary (I think it was). Only time I had a thread hidden was when I posted about it. *that poster is still here usually only during election time. They all return.
Seriously, this HAS to be just idle talk doesn't it? I do not fear for my future. I say what I want as long as I don't go too far, I would like to remain here. Supporters say all kinds of things, the really angry supporters would certainly say stuff like that. Sometimes you get real mail and sometimes just threats in PM's. I would not worry about it. I can't imagine most of them would have any means to act on this.
