They have proven themselves to not garner much trust.

Most of them, iirc, are quite in favor of the nsa checking out everyone.

32. I've been told as much by one of the nicer Hill supporters.
Thu Feb 4, 2016, 03:48 PM
Feb 2016

Months ago, one of them mentioned in a comment to me that my hostility toward Hillary had been noted by "people."

However, I am safely retired and old enough to know that this is a crucial election for everything I have believed in my entire life.

It is our duty to speak out for what is right.

38. I'm not 100% sure, but if you were told that here on DU,
Thu Feb 4, 2016, 03:55 PM
Feb 2016

that may be the thread I am recalling.

That person WAS asked for further clarification, but as far as I know, he/she declined to give any follow-up. It disturbed me, particularly since a primary SHOULD be as contentious as possible, while remaining as COLLEGIAL as possible (since in theory, the candidates are supposed to all be on the same side, i.e., the opposition to the GOP).

I didn't know what to think or what they meant. The commenter is one of the few Hill supporters I actually like (on DU; there are plenty in real life), so I didn't question her about it. It seemed like she was cautioning me but I couldn't figure out why.

53. Do you think Bernie's supporters are tracking our postings on DU?
Thu Feb 4, 2016, 04:04 PM
Feb 2016

In order to later help wage retribution against individuals here who campaigned for his adversaries?

Just look at how they take anyone not supporting or endorsing the Bern as a stab in the back. Poor Sen Boxer. I remember when many of these very same people were all for sending her roses and all the praise she got around here.

Curious for thoughts. Do such discussions shut you down/make you fear for your future?

I doubt I will because there is nothing you can do about it anyway.

While I would have a hard time believing this I was threatened here once by someone who claimed to know where I lived, who I was and if Kerry did not win he would make certain I felt the pain of not backing him in the primary (I think it was). Only time I had a thread hidden was when I posted about it. *that poster is still here usually only during election time. They all return.

Seriously, this HAS to be just idle talk doesn't it? I do not fear for my future. I say what I want as long as I don't go too far, I would like to remain here. Supporters say all kinds of things, the really angry supporters would certainly say stuff like that. Sometimes you get real mail and sometimes just threats in PM's. I would not worry about it. I can't imagine most of them would have any means to act on this.
