People listen to her.
Yup she's not an elected state official of Michigan.
Last I heard Vermont still doesn't have single payer.

(15,805 posts)When politicians, public figures and celebrities show up in Flint to talk about the water crisis they draw in the media as well. The constant negative publicity on what happened there raises public awareness across the whole country and it keeps the fires lit under the feet of the Republicans who caused it, as well as the agencies who have to come up with a solution to fix the problem.

She's all of a sudden worried about the people of Flint, MI when she was pushing fracking domestically and worldwide.
So many watersheds are suffering, especially in OK, NY, PA and TX. Earthquakes galore in OK.
How many pristine European countries are now being fracked, because of her, including England and Scotland?

Her positions on KXL are another issue, as the next president will be able to reverse Obama's stay.
Fracking and Big Oil destroyed people and household in multitudes as of yet determined!

This comes off like John McCain's "Suspending my campaign" tactic in 2008, when he was complicitory.

(15,720 posts)Bernie basically promises to redo the Obama recovery, this time with punitive disruptions, which is frankly foolish.
Hillary promises to get things done, and we have a ton of problems that I'm confident that she'll tackle, including the fate of adults with autism. We've more or less figured out how to accommodate autistic children but what happens when this sizable cohort survives into adulthood? It's just one of many problems I don't see Bernie taking any interest in whatsoever. Not a jot. But it's important.

She's a hypocrite of the highest order. If she really cared about the plights of others, she'd be advocating for the people with tainted water who are he victims of fracking or the shredded people from cluster bombs.
She doesn't really "care". She's looking for a photo op

(15,720 posts)Yes, old votes count, but if Hillary is a weather vane, which is a rude way of saying she takes the electorate into consideration, what counts more is her position the next time she addresses the issue.
