Why Hillary going to Flint is good thing- from a Bernie supporter

Because it will put the spotlight on Flint in a positive and urgent way. And anyone horrified by this austerity/greed created tragedy, should consider that. I don't care if Hillary gets good press or what her motives are. I care about help and justice for the people of Flint, particularly, the kids.

2. Fair enough

I stood outside to see her speak for two hours in '08 at Mercyhurst College in Erie Pa, along with hundreds of working single Moms who drug their kids with them in - 5 weather with howling winds.
I cheered her until I was hoarse.
Sad to see how it all turned out.

4. Couldn't agree more

The problem in Flint needs all the attention it can get. People responsible for what happened need to be put on trial and let the people decide their fate.

8. Thank you.

Flint needs all the help it can get. It's like a lot of forgotten places, full of forgotten people. Shining a light on that is important.

9. Couldn't agree more, cali.

The people of Flint deserve all the attention they can get, and frankly, if nobody goes to jail over this situation, it will be a very dark day for justice in this country.

14. It's win-win

It helps put attention on the bad actors in MI and it makes her look bad for politicizing a tragedy, which could make the situation worse. (I don't want to see the situation get worse, so I guess it may end up being win-win-lose.)

The mayor invited her, and don't you think that if Bernie had been invited he too would have gone?

15. Bernie supporter here and I commend Hillary

for going to Flint and I know its not just a PR stunt. She has been genuinely outraged and very upset over this.

I wish we could stop the fucking bickering.

23. I wish it would stop also

Not one person here is going to change their vote, and all the fighting and name calling is only making things worse come the general election. When one candidate does something good we should all applaud them, not rip them apart.

20. I'm not 1/5 as interested in defending Hillary as I am drawing attention to issues that

seriously and genuinely affect black people and/or the poor. This issue affects both.

22. This issue needs to be kept front and center

We can let it fall into the cracks.
