(9,527 posts)But it's kind of ironic that you're using a picture from a movie based on a Frank Miller graphic novel considering his recent work has had some interesting characterization of women (and he's generally batshit crazy these days).
Albright's comment was out of line and stupid in the context of a free election. It's not like Sanders is anti-women.

(14,881 posts)Albright didn't say that people who voted for Bernie would go to hell.
She said, "There is a special place in hell for women who don't help each other."
Playing the "hell" card is a tired olde perpetuation of the most classically tedious of fear tactics, fiendishly played by the powers that have been suppressing the masses for more than most of the last millennium.
Sheesh. It's highly doubtful that hell exists anywhere else than in small pockets on this sphere.
Supporting a candidate based solely on their gender is nothing more than sexist idiocy.
To ignore someone's colossal international policy blunders, & questionable alliances (Kissinger? & ill gotten gains from nefarious agenda driven donors) is utter intellectual vacancy.

(17,196 posts)Feminist activist Gloria Steinem on Friday suggested that young women support Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders over rival Hillary Clinton because they want to meet boys.
On HBOs Real Time with Bill Maher, Maher asked Steinem why Clinton, who has campaigned on the historic nature of her candidacy, was losing the young female vote.
dont mean to over-generalize
but men tend to get more conservative because they gain power as they age, and women get more radical because they lose power as they age, Steinem responded.

"It's not "where the boys are."
A recent poll even found that young women supported Sanders in greater numbers than young men. A January online survey of young voters from USA Today and Rock the Vote showed that women under 35 supported Sanders by an almost 20-point margin, compared to men's 4-point margin.
