I thought it was interesting that they would illustrate an example of socialism.

(19,460 posts)I saw a couple of time he almost broke out laughing but who wouldn't being next to Larry David?

(72,790 posts)Larry David is awesome.
I think Bernie's skit was OK but Bernie was good. He was a good sport.

(6,251 posts)But the short film with Larry David as Bernie was just painful. Bernie refusing to shake hands, refusing to drink coffee with 2% milk? Stupid, stupid, stupid.
Larry David just irks.

(46,179 posts)a lot of people never watch/watched HBO because they can't afford premium cable channels.

(1,507 posts)I've even checked out some seasons on DVD from my local library. Doesn't get more affordable than that.
What's at play here is someone who was offended by something they didn't understand. In any event the Google machine should have fixed that right up.
It was a very funny bit. Classic LD.

(23,530 posts)I thought it was very clever. But, if you never have seen Curb, it would just seem strange.

(819 posts)I love Curb Your Enthusiasm and all the messes Larry gets into. The handshaking issue and percent milk are Larry David issues, not Sanders issues.

(24,721 posts)He's so damn likeable.
The millennials think he's cool. Someone wrote earlier today that Bernie has mojo.

(2,052 posts)For any Curb Your Enthusiasm fans the first sketch was awesome as well.
I think it's awesome that he has made it this far. Go back a year and have someone tell you Bernie would be on SNL. It's nuts.
FlatBaroque
(3,160 posts)did not think this discussion was ever going to occur. What a year its going to be.

(2,052 posts)And the other side can make fun of me. I'm just so proud of him and so happy that he has had this chance to touch so many lives

(17,064 posts)If someone told him he'd be standing toe to toe against a corporate-backed political machine running for president? He'd thought we were crazy.

(16,372 posts)He isn't just running against a candidate; he's running against a corporate backed corporate machine.

(17,064 posts)And the cheating is blatant enough that people are noticing, and taking a closer look at Bernie to see why he's such a threat to the status quo.
MissDeeds
(7,499 posts)but was disappointed with the skit about Bernie as the candidate. I thought the Titanic skit was pretty bad too. The bit they did with Hillary as the bar tender was much better.
FlatBaroque
(3,160 posts)and initially did not like the Bern skit, but I watched it again and it is hilarious if you have been a fan of Curb Your Enthusiasm
MissDeeds
(7,499 posts)so I didn't get the humor. Glad it went over well with others.

(3,900 posts)I looked forward to it since I thought it would be lots of fun and entertaining. But it was kind of dull - I wish they used him more in the rest of the show. He's a funny guy.

The woman who cursed at Sander's and he flipped off, made the Bern Your Enthusiasm short.
But, that O'Donnell's Bar Skit towards the end (just Larry David) was hilarious!
