(86 posts)K, I'm new here. Haven't posted anywhere in forever. Since Bush, prolly. Got the Bern big-time but I remain.. apprehensive about how this whole primary thing will finally work out. Source of apprehension? Take a peek at http://elections.huffingtonpost.com/2016/primaries/2016-02-09#NH-Dem especially the part where it says that Hillary has 15 compared to 13 NH Dem delegates. Yeah, I know that the supers all flocked to HRC but the real question is, will these people overrule the will of NH Dem voters and throw the state to HRC? If so, then I want to discuss a plan for the general.

(5,614 posts)If Sanders dominates how can they not? I'm not talking about one state or a couple but if the campaign gets big enough the SD's will have to decide if taking the election and putting it in HRC's pocket will destroy their chances of winning the White House.
Anyway, the possibility that the GOPukes will be in total disarray by Cleveland (?) will work to everyone's advantage.
And the fact is that if we fight this out to the very last vote then HRC will turn out to be the most progressive President anyone can imagine. If nothing else, the CLinton's know which side of the political bread their butter is on.
On the other hand, we might very well win it all.

hc should not have them reported as earned and the reporting gives that incorrect impression

(2,510 posts)Most of them are officeholders of one kind or another, so...
if their preferred candidate fails to win a majority of "pledged" delegates
(awarded in primaries or caucuses)
I hope they can be prevailed upon to go with the choice of the voters.
If they didn't, it would be suicidal for the general election.

(710 posts)He has proven in Iowa that we could fight HRC to draw when she had a 9 month head start and the backing of the state's political establishment and wallop her n New Hampshire a week later.
Methinks that would move the needle in Nevada, South Carolina and nationally...
libdem4life
(13,877 posts)Certainly will not go unnoticed in Nevada and SC...no, indeed.

(10,610 posts)The knives are coming out, and this ones going to bloody. Like history-book levels of dirty campaining. SC is where Trump gets 'ceasered' by the GOP Establishment, and its where, if Bernie makes it out mostly intact, everyone will know that he's nationally viable into ST and beyond.
They can talk about the rest of it all they want, but SC is where the Establishment survives or dies this year. They know it, too, and theyre scared as hell.

So Hillary did make history tonight. She suffered the worst defeat in the history of the Democratic Presidential Primary.

(3,919 posts)because why? voter turnout!!
OnlinePoker
(5,837 posts)As of right now, with 86% of the vote in, Sanders has a 60 to 39% lead over Clinton. Total delegates available from N.H. including supers is 32. Not counting the votes not yet counted, Clinton has 15 delegates and Sanders has 13. Super delegates should be banned. It's a disgrace to the will of the people.
