Funny, I just saw a re-run yesterday of Designing Women--the one where Charlene is in the hospital having her baby and Julia Sugarbaker happens on a wonderful old black woman patient--102 years old-- who is living her last hours. They all end up visiting with her, but the scene captures the long long life of this woman and all the changes she's seen and the real glory of how far we have come, particularly in the views of an elderly black woman. It really was a very nice part of the episode and reminds me of this video here.

May this treasure of a woman get her birthday wish and many more.
