With the passing of Justice Scalia, the need to nominate Bernie is more urgent than ever.

He has promised that any nominee to the Supreme Court must be willing to overturn Citizen's United. His campaign is the one with the momentum. He's inspiring people to register and vote for the first time. And he's doing better than Hillary against all Republicans. This is our chance.

Why? gwheezie Feb 2016 #1
I'd be fine with that, but the Republicans apparently won't let that happen HerbChestnut Feb 2016 #2
Because Republicans control both houses w/ a filibuster-proof majority. senz Feb 2016 #3

Both sides should probably just stop doing this and put energy into... Joe the Revelator Feb 2016 #9

They've just said on CNN that they'll stonewall until his term runs out.

So it might very well fall to the next president.

We know Bernie would nominate someone who represents the 99%, not the 1%.

That's why.

Obama should nominate the next sc justice. If the GOP obstructs then it will be a campaign issue. You have no way of knowing if Bernie will be the next president, I wouldn't count on it. I wouldn't count on dems winning back the Senate either.

Obama should nominate someone before the body is cold and let the GOP argue against women's rights, gay rights and voting rights.
