I looked up the IPSOS site and it looks interesting and I may sign up.

Election time is a great time at DU. So much garbage on TV put on by the R's that it's a relief to come in and listen to some Dems who really know their stuff (not me). I'm just a cheerleader, not a player.

A president’s job approval rating is one of the best indicators for assessing his chances of reelection. Typically, the president’s job approval rating on Election Day will be close to the share of the vote he receives. Currently, 50% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the president's job performance. Forty-nine percent (49%) at least somewhat disapprove (see trends).

Thirty-seven percent (37%) believe the country is generally heading in the right direction. That’s up six points from a month ago and 13 points from the beginning of 2012. It’s the highest level of optimism measured in more than three years.

So Obama's approval is unchanged at 50 percent, and optimism is up, but Romney got a bounce?

Rasmussen is a tool.

This is simply narrative enabling nonsense. It'll be just like Romney's convention bounce.

where it ends is the important thing. Ads are fine but the only way to end this is very solid debate performances by Biden and especially Obama.

Rasmussen is a GOP operative and cant be trusted. I dont know why any Democrat would follow his numbers or cite them.

First of all, I didn't post this Rasmussen thread. I don't want to post any for quite some time after the way some people freak out about them.

All I said was that Joe Trippi is saying we should prepare for them to go higher and be aware of what the talk will be for the next few days.

Here's Joe Trippi's posts about it this morning. He's a loyal Dem, like me, so please stay calm.

Btw, you can check out the 2 threads I posted this morning - one on the huge lead Obama has over Romney with Hispanics and the other on the record monthly 181 Million fundraising haul.

Obama can still win, but when will Democrats learn that letting someone push you around simply doesn't work in politics?
