Link to poll article: www.cbsnews.com/… http://www.cbsnews.com/news/poll-south-carolina-still-solidly-for-donald-trump-hillary-clinton/

In the recent CBS South Carolina poll, ONE HUNDRED PERCENT of people 18-29 thought that Bernie Sanders was honest and trustworthy. (page 66 in poll above)

Hillary for 18-29 year olds? 43%. Yikes.

The growth of the Democratic Party lies with Bernie Sanders. This is a once-in-a-generation chance to bring TONS of young voters into the Democratic Party. With Hillary? Not so much.

Also, look at some of the percentages of know Bernie well/voting for Bernie. Insanely strong correlations. It firms up with many of us already know:

When people know Bernie, they like Bernie.

Why are people trying the thwart their wishes and dreams by supporting the candidate who represents same old same old and tells them they shouldn't have dreams and if they do there's no way to achieve them so we're shouldn't even try?

I honestly don't get it.

They vote like sheep, mostly. Now we have a candidate who is not a household name, so some votes will be lost, but with GOTV and more debates (yeah) that will change a bit at a time. There is still time.

Just as bringing in Reaganism was. They are too blind to see it. They are on the wrong train.

If you have a preconceived idea in your mind of how something must happen you often hitch onto the wrong idea/path. So when another path comes up you don't see it because you've already decided the way things are supposed to happen.

So when the truth knocks at your door and you don't recognize it so you say go away truth, I'm looking for the truth.

Yes, it’s SuperBernie, strange visitor from a quirky state who came to earth with powers and abilities far beyond those of conniving politicians. SuperBernie, who can change the course of income inequality, expose lies with his wagging fingers. And who, disguised as Bernard Sanders, mild-mannered from Brooklyn, New York, fights a never ending battle for truth, justice and the American way. And now another exciting episode in the adventures of SuperBernie.

Superman would always puff out his chest and the bullets would bounce right off.
But when they threw the gun, he'd always duck !? I never did figure out why he did that.
Your post brought back memories that made me smile.

These polls are dramatically playing down youth turnout and it's obvious. If he gets any type of turnout among young voters...SC will be much closer than the polls are suggesting.

O!M!G!

Speaking as someone almost Bernie's age, I'm very happy to see this. We Boomers are getting ready to leave the scene of active life, and we need to understand that we absolutely must trust the younger generations taking over from us.

A while back I happened to be taking classes at my local junior college. I did that for just about exactly 10 years. I was constantly sitting next to 19 year olds. At the time we'd be talking GenX, and I absolutely must say that I gained enormous respect for them. They'd been crapped on by nearly everyone, and they were hanging in there, working, going to school, raising kids. They didn't ask for a thing from the older generation, and worse yet they didn't get it.

So I get incredibly angry when I hear people dissing a younger generation. For one thing, I remember very clearly when we Boomers were first starting out, and the older generation then thought ill of us, and we had trouble getting jobs, and we were assumed to be lousy employees.

So back off old people! Youth rises!

for voting in the primary. She's been voting since she was 18 but I've never seen her this excited about a candidate as she is about Bernie. Ditto for her hubby.

Anybody who can engender this kind of enthusiasm in our young people is somebody we need dearly.

in which a young man informed us he had been watching Bernie videos on You Tube and was excited that Bernie has always had the same positions going way back. These kiddos are internet savvy and they are not afraid of socialism. A few of the college aged folks said they want free college and single payer healthcare. They know other countries do it and can't figure out why we don't do it here. And this is in Texas.
