"Maybe It's That Senator Sanders Wasn't Really A Democrat Until He Decided To Run For President."

Hillary... You Wouldn't Know What A Democrat Was If You Tripped Over One.

YOU, And Your Husband, Turned AGAINST New Deal Politics. And Got Fabulously Wealthy Doing It !!!

Broke... My Ass.

"Maybe it's that Senator Sanders wasn't really a Democrat until he decided to run for president. He doesn't know what the last two Democratic presidents did," she remarked, as the audience responded by booing her. "Well, it's true. It's true. You know it's true," Clinton said, shrugging her shoulders.

"He doesn't know what the last two Democratic presidents did"

She is insinuating he is ignorant...claiming that only a Democrat (label only) would know democratic policies when they see them. She was dismissing him for not calling himself a Democrat sooner, when in fact he has always been a better democrat (in real actions) than she has. He's the kind of person who lives his democratic ideals, he does not need a label to prove who he is.

And again...when was he a republican?

doesn't matter what he calls himself. He fought for ideals in keeping with Democratic principles. You don't have to call yourself a Christian either to behave like one. It's a(nother) non-issue for those seeking desperate measures to win.

With the 2016 Campaign heating up, Democratic candidates Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders are discussing what it means to be a progressive. For many years, Biden served in the Senate with a Minnesota politician who proudly bore that label — Paul Wellstone. Frank asked Biden whether he saw the late senator’s qualities in Sanders.

“Yeah, because they feel so fervently about what they believe in,” Biden said. “I worked with Paul. He was on my committee — the Foreign Relations Committee. But you have a lot of great senators up here. My mentor was Hubert Humphrey.”

He ran as an Independent only when he lost the Senate primary to a real progressive. Republicans voted for him since there was a lousy Republican running and that's how he won. Prior to that one term he was a DEMOCRAT.

He is everything I hated about the Dem party and still do.

Don't try to talk CT politics to me. I'm from there.

So your point is basically a lousy one.

Hillary does't have it in her to take them head on. She is more of a strategist and cloak and dagger type. The problem with that is after you compromise so much you end up with stagnate wages for 24 years and states where abortion is defacto illegal as many women can't afford to drive for 24 hours wait another 24 and drive another 24 hours back home.

I heard a little tidbit about Hillary a week or so ago. Sorry I don't have a link. But one of the talking heads said it, probably on MSNBC (I know, I know, but bear with me).

Essentially he said that Hillary has never finished a campaign with approval numbers higher than she started. Even her successful ones. It always dropped. Did anyone else hear that?

I think I'm starting to realize why.

Oh well, I'll still vote for her if she wins the nomination. I can't stand anybody with a R after him, and I will definitely vote against them.

Or at least that's where I remember hearing it. And it was worse than that if I understood it correctly. It wasn't just that they'd never ended higher than they started- that's probably to be expected given her name recognition. But that she had never had her poll numbers rise during the course of an election- in that once they started to drop, they'd never figured out how to get the trend line to go back up.

Bernie is running as a Democrat. He's bringing in a lot of fresh energy. He's offering the possibility of hope and a promise to fight for his supporters, something that's been sorely missed in the party for decades. He's capturing the mood of the country, but unlike Trump, Bernie is addressing this dissatisfaction by offering solutions for the common good. Do they really want him running as an independent? This is the future of the party. How you gonna respond DNC?
