Scary article makes Trump look like

This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by Goblinmonger (a host of the 2016 Postmortem forum).

a horrifying possibility.

"Don't laugh. Donald Trump could actually win this thing. Not just the Republican nomination -- the presidency.

It would be very nice if a brand of politics built on fear, intimidation, racism and sheer meanness could not succeed in 21st-century America. Most political pundits have spent the past year wishing it to be so, refusing to contemplate the horror of a Trump presidency. And the business mogul may very well end up getting trounced in the general election if he does secure the GOP nomination."

Ok, then bring it. Let's just burn this fucker to the ground. Maybe then, dismally, finally then, we can take this country back from the mouth breathers and racists who've been propping up the right wing in this country. Surely after the fuck pit of a firestorm a Trump presidency would bring people would wake up. Right? Literally what will it take to get the flag pin wearing, gun toting, #freeDUMB loving #muricans to wake the fuck up already.

Our standing joke was if things got really bad, we could cross the border to Canada which was about 10 miles away.

Trump declared that former President George W. Bush had lied about weapons of mass destruction to march the country to war; blamed Bush for the 9/11 attacks, arguing that he ignored intelligence community warnings; defended Planned Parenthood; boasted that he was the only Republican who would not cut Social Security or Medicare; said he approved of the individual mandate in Obamacare; and promised to slap onerous tariffs on companies who outsource jobs.

Sounds very LW.

If you went by the headlines you’d probably get the impression that Trump won’t garner any of the minority vote. Hillary Clinton has branded him as a racist – as has Bernie Sanders for his comments on Mexican illegal immigrants.

A column at The Week was headlined “Donald Trump is running the most explicitly racist campaign since 1968”

But ironically it seems everyone who’s found Trumps comments to be racist is white. As World Net Daily reported regarding Trump’s polling numbers:

Pundits might point to billionaire Donald Trump’s huge lead in the GOP presidential primary race as being the result of his generally anti-Washington, anti-government, anti-establishment, anti-politically correct attitude.

If so, it’s not just whites who are ticked at the bureaucracy, but minorities too.

Because a new poll, which still has Trump leading the race, shows 40 percent of blacks are lining up behind Trump, as are 45 percent of Hispanics, and even nearly 19 percent of Asians.

Blacks and Hispanics, in fact, even support Trump at a higher level than whites.

The results are from a new WND/Clout poll by Clout Research, a national opinion research firm in Columbus, Ohio. The telephone survey of registered voters was taken Dec. 18-27, except for the holiday, and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.35 percentage points.

made up quotes, right? It's an insulting attempt by Trump (it a Trump website) to negate his obvious racism. "How can I be a racist when I've got these stock pictures of minorities backing me". Good fucking God.

Such a very very bizarre presidential election.

I just don't think you can count him out because minorities, but not all, don't like him.
