The CNN "reality check" of what Bernie said in the town hall today is really getting me down.

I missed the town hall (Don't have cable), so checked CNN's reality check of what Bernie said. It's so depressing what he said was true...What the hell do we DO about this?

1) "We have been dealing, in the last seven years, with an unprecedented level of obstructionism"

2) The Koch brothers are going to spend hundreds of millions of dollars to elect candidates who represent the rich and powerful

3) "Last election, November 2014, Republicans won a landslide victory, all over the country. Sixty-three percent of the American people didn't vote. Eighty percent of young people didn't vote."

4) "Middle class shrinking, people living in poverty, top one tenth of 1% saw a doubling, a doubling of the percentage of wealth they own," (over 30 years...there were about 160,700 taxpayers in this group, with an average wealth of $72.8 million, in 2012.)

http://www.cnn.com/2016/02/23/politics/democratic-town-hall-fact-check/index.html

It comes to mind the Clintons are one of those 160,700 top 0.1%...not that it matters. Just comes to mind. It doesn't matter, does it?

polls and the word will be one person at a time. People aren't getting their news in the traditional manner in the numbers they once were. They're getting it from others and online. We will win. The revolution won't be televised but the train has left the station. Be comforted. This is going to happen.

Are you really so deep in the bubble that you think only Sanders can beat the Republican at large? If Clinton wins the nomination, that means she's the one with the best shot at the WH. If Sanders can pull it off, he's more popular than I thought.

I sure don't see the Republicans taking his run seriously.

Talk to everyone you know, have them get to know Bernie if they don't already, vote as if your life depends on it, it really does. Do not be discouraged, do not listen to MSM or negative talkers, just keep your eye on Bernie and be positive.

...but there are no members of the senate who aren't in the millionaire club, including Bernie. They even jokingly call it that.

I guess it could be argued how much more Bill & Hill have after a lifetime of public service and demand, but once one has a million bucks it's more than they can spend anyway so it's just like keeping score above that.

It's hard to fault the Clintons for the work the Clinton Global Initiative has done though, and yes, they get donations for it by giving fund raising speeches, not that it matters. Does it?

…a millionaire. His personal wealth comes to about 300,000 . He's one of the least wealthy members of the Senate.

The Clintons combined wealth is between 111 million and 130 million. I've heard both amounts cited.

Bernie Sanders does not belong to their 1% club. He isn't even a millionaire.

Now you have a better idea of who has what.

Estimates for their net worth are all over the place. I've seen as high as 820,000 for Bernie Sanders.

I was responding to a post that suggested they were all millionaires anyway so big deal, and that all Senators are in "the millionaire club". Bernie is the only one who is not.

Their total worth is ~$111 million.

Little factoid: there are 536 Billionaires in the U.S. and I would say 95+% of these Billionaires vote for GOP candidates.

They are the folks pulling all the strings and donating to/ owning these mere millionaire candidates.
