“Yes and no,” she said. “I liked what Clinton had to say on the subject even though she didn’t really answer my original question. I asked about what she would do to help fix broken racial relations not what she thought about them. She listed what needed to be done and I agree on that, but she didn’t mention any plan that she had.”

1. Expectations....

are and certainly should be high for both of our Dem candidates on race, but honestly, does anyone think there is any candidate on the "right" who would even understand (much less care) about the issue? I would bet the farm that the term "natural hair" would get nothing but clueless looks, assuming they even deigned to accept a question from this young woman.

No one can expect total recognition of issues among those for whom their own life experiences have been so different, but it seems to me that both of our candidates genuinely seem to be trying to understand and incorporate those views. I realize there will be disagreements on this, but...
