ALL OF THE OTHER ISSUES PALE IN COMPARISON TO THE CLIMATE CHANGE CATASTROPHE FUTURE GENERATIONS ...

WILL SUFFER.

There was an article in the NY Times today about the collapsing pollinator populations world wide, and the threat it poses to global food supply.

The Zika virus spread is just one example of the spread of tropical diseases that will migrate to once temperate climate regions. There are a lot more ready to migrate.

An increase in the frequency and intensity of severe weather events is a direct result of climate change, it is one of the major predictions of the climate models.

The temperature rises we are seeing are at the high end of the predictive models.

Human civilization arose in a period of generally moderate climate, with a few, but not many major climate variations.

IF YOU GIVE A DAMN ABOUT THE FUTURE OF YOUR CHILDREN AND THEIR CHILDREN YOU WILL SUPPORT CANDIDATES THAT GIVE CLIMATE CHANGE THE HIGHEST PRIORITY.

I've worked in the field for over twenty years and what is happening is unprecedented, even in light of the most extreme predictions. Yes, Greenland may grow more potatoes, but overall the consequences will be devastating to future generations.

Does anybody care ?

What presidential candidate will put greed and hubris aside, and fight tooth and nail the financial and political interests that are a threat to the human race, a threat to our children's future?

This country got drunk on greed and self centeredness since at least the 80s.

oblivious to the tsunami that we can see coming but choose to ignore. Apathy and our focus on "little stuff" will kill us.

This election isn't just for about our own interests, it is for the very survival of our progeny.

Only candidates that place the interests of others first will offer any hope that our children will have a future.

Bah! We will convene a panel of experts that will study the issue over the next 5 years, and recommend what tax cuts will incentivize private industry to maybe think about possibly doing something about it.

Meanwhile, we can't let any money go to those awful hippies trying to advance solar and wind power. We can't afford that, so we'll have to make cuts. Can't get blood from a stone and all that.

Now if you'll excuse me, it's time to meet the lobbyists from Exxon and get their latest subsidy passed. Fracking is amazing, isn't it?

doesn't give a shit because Jeebus is coming back anyway. Personally, I think it's too late and we are well and truly fucked. But I agree we've got to try. The earth will recover, especially if we're gone.

the new season of Survivor is on.

At least that seems to be the mental defect common among Americans. It's almost as if the human race is a failed experiment that's best written off and forgotten.

What a sad state of affairs this nation is in.

ONLY A POLITICAL AND ECONOMIC REVOLUTION OFFERS US ANY HOPE. THE SAME OLD WAY OF DOING THINGS IS A DEATH SENTENCE FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS.
