rallies with infamous anti gay evangelists one of whom had called gay people child killers. It was the primary in which I realized both candidates were trading in bigotry but one of them was trading in more flavors of bigotry and used verbiage that indicated the bigotry was sincere. So I voted for Obama. Both were trading in anti gay sentiments but only one was also doing some racist sounding bullshit along with the gay baiting.
Sounds harsh, maybe. But while others bicker about the outcome in SC, I'm fairly happy that this cycle there did not involve anti gay crap. Big improvement. On the other hand our overall turnout was way down from 2008 and that's not so good.
