Democratic National Committee vice-chair Tulsi Gabbard resigned from her post on Sunday to endorse Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders.

“I think it’s most important for us, as we look at our choices as to who our next commander in chief will be, is to recognize the necessity to have a commander in chief who has foresight, who exercises good judgment,” Gabbard, a U.S. representative for Hawaii, said on MSNBC show “Meet the Press”.

AFAIK she is just the third national politician to endorse Sen. Sanders.

A true patriot, a true maverick, a true leader.

One of the only ones with actual guts.

Leadership is doing what's right even if the masses are saying otherwise for one reason or another. Case in point: Showtime's "Circus" series tonight tried to paint Sen. Sanders as a cranky man. A true facepalm moment where they attempted to discredit him as a candidate and a man.

I applaud Congresswoman Gabbard. She will forever go down as a courageous human being. Well done Congresswoman.
