Why Bernie Sanders won Super Tuesday

Article by Cenk Uygur

All of these Southern states were Hillary Clinton's best states (by the way, also irrelevant places to have strength in for the general election). She's used up most of her ammo and doesn't even know what kind of trouble she's in. Right before the voting, she pivoted toward the right again in anticipation of the general election. Big mistake. She can't help herself; she lives and breaths arrogance.

Tonight could have been the knock out punch if Clinton had won CO & MN. But she didn't! She lost them big. Now, he has a $40 million war chest and favorable map in front of him. Feel the Bern!

Time is on Bernie's side. The more he runs, the more people find out about him. Everyone already knows Clinton. She's gaining no new voters. Every day he gains ground. So, now he lives to fight many other days. She is in a race against time and she didn't close the door tonight. Tick, tock. Tick, tock!

This is almost as delicious as Cali_Dem's thread asking if people felt that Sanders had won Iowa. In typical fashion here, the majority of voters said yes!!! http://www.democraticunderground.com/12511121848

Bernie's going to lose at the Convention but his supporters will say he won, so they'll vote for the Democrat without ever realizing they're not voting for Sanders.

And nowhere else.

Democrats could literally not field a worse candidate than Hillary Clinton in terms of riling up the Republican base to vote against her while leaving the Democratic base stone cold. Nor could the Democrats find a single worse individual to nominate in terms of unfavorability ratings among independent voters.

It's as if people are forgetting all about IL, MO, MI, OH, PA, NY, NJ, MD, LA, MS, FL, NC, HI, CA and Washington DC. And that even in the states where Sanders might win, Clinton will still win a proportion of the delegates.

Sanders "won" Super Tuesday? Seriously? Folks, get a grip. It's all about the delegate count, and Sanders is now in a big hole...a hole that's going to get deeper in the coming weeks.

She is the worst candidate ever. Even with every possible advantage, she still manages to lose big wherever Democrats actually have a chance to win the general election.

Sanders will win or have a great showing (whatever that might mean) in IL, MO, MI, OH, PA, NY, NJ, MD, FL, NC, HI, CA and Washington DC?

Um, okay.

*Note: I took out MS and LA, which we know Clinton will win easily. I left solidly blue or purple states (plus DC). Also, remember that we're talking about Democratic primaries. So, red or not, the people voting (for the most part) make up the blue contingent of each state.

Again, the delusion on display is a bit scary.

VA is the ONLY potential blue OR swing state in which she has notched more than an eyelash victory.

Many listened to the corporate media's incessant spin in '08 all the way to Barack's eventual clinching win. The same may very well happen again this time.

people see how susceptible Clinton is to political winds.

Four states and a virtual tie (20K votes) in Massachusetts is great for Bernie. And I'm proud that I helped the cause last night in my own state.

Exactly. Especially since in the four blue states that voted last night, Bernie won 3 and tied 1!
