Because destroying environmental protections - social safety nets - food and drug law regulation, etc. etc. etc. in order for global corporations to move in and squeeze out that last dollar and gain control of essentials for life - such as water, the IMF who 'has to step in' to impose austerity, etc. from the most vulnerable, who always suffer the most when their gov'ts can't come up with the money to fight the lawsuits, is all so good!

We can operate in a global economy and still protect our workers, Which is what most other countries do. It is impossible to make gains on income inequality , if we don't have a trade policy that protects our workers. Which is what most other countries do.
