Let's all ignore history.

Let's crow over the 'good polls,' badmouth the 'bad polls,' tell everyone to "steer clear of RealClearPolitics," and call anyone who says anything other than "We're gonna win!" a 'concern troll' and "Let it sink!" Then, once we've ignored history, let's watch in horror as it repeats itself, and scream futilely about the dirty tricks, electronic voting machines, and disenfranchisement that brought us President Romney while we acted as though everything was rosy and we should ignore those who wanted to warn us this might not be the case.

Seems to me this is what happened in 2004. But hey, whatever works for you.

P.S. My pants are still wet.

People on this site are not unaware of the things you point out. We know what the repugs are capable of. We also know what happened in '00 and '04 but we know as well that they tried it again in '08 but the victory margin was too large for them to steal the election again. That's why many of us don't have time to continually point out these things as we are too busy working on the campaign to make sure the victory margin is large enough so the repugs, despite all their vote suppression techniques, won't be successful. I myself canvassed door-to-door 3 hours today. Try it yourself. It might help with your negativity.

What I fail to understand is this constant panic, without mention of what we can do to make a difference.

Instead it's all Obama's fault, or his campaign's fault.

If you live in a swing state, canvas. If not, donate, then sign into your dashboard on Obama's site and volunteer to make calls to a swing state.

Do something real. Talking to actual voters in swing states will calm you down. Trust me in this.

Get involved. Obama's not going to win this election without us. That's a fact.

It repeats itself when it repeats itself.

And it doesn't repeat itself when it doesn't.

Confirmation bias is great, eh?

Including Ohio, Florida, Colorado, Iowa, Nevada and New Mexico - all states he eventually lost. Obama leads in all but Florida and Colorado, and the margins there are much smaller. Plus, Virginia is close. So...

How about we all go out and work on the election? You know, sign up for phone-banking, go door to door, attend a fundraiser or two and maybe even give a hand to the less glamorous races down-ticket.

Just a thought.
