Why is Hillary hiding her speech transcripts?

I think she is hiding them either because she has lied about what she said in her speeches to Wall Street before and after the crash and because the speeches would destroy her credibility and embarrass her and her campaign.

What is your explanation?

What do you think?

1. Of course she lied. It's like her sniper fire story only, now, she controls

She supported (supports?) Wall Street and thinks that they are A-ok with their policies, derivative trading, terrible unregulated practices, and is happy to take their money because she intends on protecting THEM from US.
If she was REALLY telling them to "cut it out" and giving them speeches on what they need to do to change it so that they no longer destroy the economy, take people's homes/pensions/savings/etc., she would be happy to share those speeches with us.

3. Because releasing them hurts her. Not releasing them hasn't cost her a vote.

Simple political calculus.

And that would mess up the whole Barack and Hillary are best of friends narrative.

6. It is a red herring. The transcripts say nothing that would be a "smoking gun"

Bernie is making a strategic mistake in talking about the transcripts. The real issue is the money paid for the speeches. We already know from attendees that her speeches were basically a "rah-rah" cheer session.

Why is Hillary so intent on hiding them?

9. Because it entices us to focus our attention on what she is "hiding"

whereas the ethical crime is not what she said but how much she was paid. The only thing the scripts will confirm is that the whole speaker thing is legalized bribery.

that the whole speaker thing is legalized BRIBERY, then we have a problem, and we should know about it before we vote for Hillary or against her.

If I am being generous, I'd say it's because she calculated cost / benefit and mot releasing them is the least damaging tactic. In fact, it provides her low-values supporters with a macguffin upon which to project her victimhood. If I were to speculate deeper, I'd say she actually believes we have no right to know what the president says to the ruling class. So piss off...

12. I think she feels like she can do whatever she wants and doesn't owe us anything.

No matter how much we want to see the transcripts, her risk managers know that not releasing them won't hurt her in the primary or the GE.

I'm sure she laughs at how silly we are in demanding them.
