2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumSo a post calling Bernie "a condescending motherfucker" was allowed to stand by a jury.
This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by etherealtruth (a host of the 2016 Postmortem forum).
I am tempted to call their candidate something, because I know I would get away with it, but I am better than that. We Bernie supporters are better than that.
I just sent $27 to Bernie, let's show them they are losing the nomination. Who is with me?
To a possible alerter: This is not a META post. This is a call to contribute to Bernie Sanders!

(13,326 posts)JURY RESULTS
Someone else already alerted on this post before you alerted on it, and only the first alert was sent to a Jury. A randomly-selected Jury of DU members completed their review of the post on Mon Mar 7, 2016, 06:49 AM, and voted 3-4 to keep IT. Please note that even though your alert was not sent to a Jury, it has been forwarded to the Administrators who review all alerts.

Hopefully the Admins will do the right thing. They're in the Hillary camp, but I trust their objectivity on this kind of vileness.

(25,586 posts)But I've seen all manner of absolute filth allowed to stand by the Bernie-dominated jury pool in the last few months. Disgusting garbage time and again.
Somebody said a mean about Bernie and it stood. You'll live.

(18,988 posts)We are all better than that. I've been in juries supporting the poster in favor of Clinton many times because it's the right thing to do. But if you think only Sanders supporters do this, you are mistaken.

I was on my first jury yesterday, on a post about Hillary that was misogynist and vulgar beyond description. I suspect it was Brock style dirty tricks rather than an actual Bernie supporter. The vote was 7-0 to hide it.

(1,385 posts)When posts like thishttp://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1280&pid=133466 are allowed to stand, anything said about Bernie is fair game. I'd say likening fellow DUers to "Caged rats dining on feces" is far more egregious.

Obviously, the OP is unaware all the names that have been hurled at Hillary. Sometimes they are hidden, but most of the times they are left to stand.
Maybe the jury system has some inherent bias, you think

(10,789 posts)I've seen some vicious fact and issue-free posts and OP's allowed to stand, and some mild innuendo hidden. I think it has to do with the luck of the draw, who gets chosen for jury. Bernie supporters will allow a great deal of vitriol to be flung in Hillary's direction, and vice versa. Get the right jury and its no problem.
I'm voting for Sanders in the primary, btw, but I will happily vote for Hillary in the general if she wins the primary. They both support the Democratic party platform, and they are both in a good place on the issues. Having been through this more than once I've got some thick skin, but its never pleasant.

(588 posts)Hillary supporters post in their group and ban anyone with even a reasoned non inflammatory reply, their own bubble to talk about their bubble candidate. Tactics used by Republican talk radio all the time, can't have our sycophants hearing anything negative now can we!
Bad Dog
(2,044 posts)was also allowed to stand. A jury is only as good as those serving, and there are those in both camps who put their own prejudices before any sense of fair play.
Dragonfli
(10,622 posts)After not only lying but getting caught doing it in a vicious manner, because well. he's George and a Hillary poster.
The lie was proven and he followed it up right after with another transparent lie saying about a bar graph in visual form, "he'd seen that bogus graph several times and that the graph wasn't even fair because Hill polled as dishonest while citing his proof that it was a bogus bar graph by stating it was one that didn't even have Bernie on it!
Not only was it in picture for (as graphs are wont to be) but Sanders was the first politician on it, one of the only politicians whose honesty bar was higher than his dishonesty bar (by a large margin I might add).
This graphic was right above his post if you can believe that and the poster that had JURY privileges revoked (first time I have seen that arbitrary punishment) made the mistake of not hiding a truthful post alerted on by old George that was left standing by a 6 to 1 margin. I think his crime was his comment agreeing with the poster for calling George a liar.
In many ways this place is as fair as the MSM regarding reporting depending on the candidate.
I fully expect this to get locked even tho it is the truth and not a violation pointing out a "mistake"
