about enthusiasm. Time expended comforting the weak spines is time that could be used elsewhere.

Just jump already. We'll take up your slack with the energy not spent coddling.

Ok that's a bit harsh.

But still. Are there ANY enthusiastic threads on this forum?

and said I was 'concerned'. The one where I compared the election to a relationship. Couldn't believe it. Couldn't be more positive. Can't be creative in these parts, got to lay things out in black and white. That's why I'm so harsh now.

when a poll shows Obama ahead, they call it a "statistical dead heat". When it shows Romney ahead, they call it a "small lead."

With that said, it's all narrative right. The media is a bunch of sheep. You feed them the line about Romney surging, and they will look for and find examples. They don't take in a bunch of information and then report conclusions. They start with conclusions (the narrative), and then find the information to back them up. Since the conclusion is that Romney is surging, they find the polls that show that.

So, all Obama has to do is win the debate tonight, and the narrative will change to "Obama on the comeback", "Obama recovers" and then the news will be slanted that way. Fox News is biased. The rest are just idiots.

that said, MSmith is absolutely correct.

its sickening how much the media has driven the importance of debates. its not like when major decisions are made Presidents have to come up with an answer by themselves standing behind a podium in a matter of seconds. they do it with advisors often thinking things out rationally and carefully. debates are garbage. unfortunately though its the world we live in.
