Univision Democratic Debate Moderators REPEATEDLY CUT OFF Bernie Sanders

I know Clinton got tougher questions last night. It could be argued Sanders had a better night overall, thanks in part to that fact. But it’s hard to ignore the extra time Clinton received. Hard to ignore that Jorge Ramos’s daughter works for Clinton’s campaign, yet he was still allowed to moderate the debate. Hard to ignore the obscure, 30-year-old video of Sanders they trotted out to impugn his character, and Clinton’s inexplicably detailed knowledge of it. Hard to ignore Karen Tumulty’s straight up eye roll during Sanders’s response to a question about climate change.

The moderators constantly interrupted both candidates, but unlike Clinton, Sanders was repeatedly cut off. “Your time is up, Senator.” Remember that line? They said it nine times over the course of the debate. Once to Clinton, eight times to Sanders. Video evidence below the fold.

~snip~

So...anybody gonna call Clinton an aggressive, condescending, sexist bully for telling Sanders, “Excuse me!” this time around? Or, or! Maybe her attack was coming from a place of—gasp—anti-semitism?! Come on, anybody? Washington Post? CNN? Anybody?

Or maybe we can all just agree that saying, “Excuse me”—even saying it with a testy exclamation mark—isn’t something anyone should get riled up about. Ever. It’s fine.

I watched it all the way through, and felt the moderators and presentation (bilingual) were among the best we've seen.

YMMV

I wish he would replace Anderson Cooper in moderating these debates. He's clearly better than Anderson. Heck, there's some consideration to firing Anderson and replacing him with Jorge on CNN.

Always seems someone's trying to "fix" it.

Thank you for the heads-up, Segami.

I'd like to read the Content Analysis, should one ever get run.
