Trump has been fanning the flames of many long held feelings that have been rising up and have come to a full boil with the election and re-election of President Obama. I have already seen people on Twitter say they are switching from Cruz to Trump because of tonight's protest. There is such an anger from Trump's supporters and they feel as though they are emboldened to take these aggressive stances because they have a leader who is essentially egging them on. I mean are we on the verge of a race war? Tonight seems like a real critical moment.

(4,624 posts)Hold steady, everyone. We have pulled back from worse than this. Stand tall for your principles. Walk with dignity, in truth.
Just men and women live by faith. And faith is the substance of what you are hoping for.
Be the change you want to see.
We can heal our nation if we keep trying to work together to build a better nation for everyone.

(17,320 posts)a steady stream of horrible comments and recommendations him. The protest was against
the Trump movement.
Stop trying to turn it toward Bernie, Hillary or any other candidate.
"Live by the sword, die by the sword.". Trump has been encouraging his fans to physical fight against protesters. Tonight's demonstration is the young people's answer.

(1,048 posts)I think my original statement made it clear this is all about Trump and his inciting violence and his supporters taking their cues from him.

(17,320 posts)The OP asked are we on the verge of a race war? My response was NO.
OK, I understand what your response pertains to.
I wasn't still addressing your OP when I said "stop blaming Bernie and Clinton. It was a general remark that pertained to many of the post here tonight about the riot.
I apologize for the ambiguous aspect of my post.
