2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumDick Cheney heaps praise on Clinton.
Former US vice president Dick Cheney has praised Hillary Clinton as one of the more competent members of President Barack Obama's administration, saying it would be "interesting to speculate" on how she would perform as president.

If this is not a reason NOT to make her the Democratic Candidate for president, I don't know what is. If this war criminal is praising her, there HAS to be an awful lot wrong with her, and her policies.

Kagan endorsed Hillary over any of the Republicans.
Makes you want to hurl a lung, doesn't it?

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2016/2/25/1491609/-Robert-Kagan-Republican-Neocon-PNAC-co-founder-endorses-Clinton
The connection between Hillary and the extreme right Republican Neocons became much clearer today when Robert Kagan, a co-founder and co-author of The Project for the New American Century, endorsed Hillary Clinton for President.
I would be tempted to call his endorsement a dirty trick designed to drive Democrats away from HRC, but the closeness between them has gone on for many years. Therefore, I think this is just a neocon effort to co-opt the Democratic party. Im sure they believe it would be better for their desires if they own both parties, not just the Republicans.
This Sunday 2014 NYT article shows the reasoning.
The Next Act of the Neocons -- Are Neocons Getting Ready to Ally With Hillary Clinton?
I believe this should set off extreme alarms for anyone who believes it is important to have more than one party, more than one ideology, in charge of our government. This alarm is, to me, a warning that we may be setting a one party-ideology in concrete to rule us even more stringently than a monarchy. I find it terrifying.
We need to remember that Robert Kagans wife is Victoria Nuland. Nuland had been a foreign policy adviser to VP Dick Cheney. When Obama was elected and named Clinton as Secretary of State, HRC brought Victoria Nuland into the State Department. Originally serving as an information official conducting press sessions for State, Nuland soon transitioned to Assistant Secretary of State for Eurasian Affairs. From this post, Nuland planned, orchestrated, and directed the disastrous coup in Ukraine.

I hope he regrets ever putting her in that position. Cause she sure didn't respect his wishes when she was fighting against him on some of those policies...which I've posted here already.

There is ONLY one reason why Cheaty the Dick would praise Hillary Clinton.......because he knows that if he does that, folks like ya'll will disdain her and lobby for others to not vote for her.
Look, there is NO doubt that Clinton is more hawkish than Bernie but she has also proved to be a highly competent public servant.
I PROMISE to vote for which ever wins the nomination but I think she is a stronger candidate.

(24,010 posts)...how do you explain Henry Kissinger (mass murderer) being her close friend and advisor? How do you explain Robert (Project for a New American Century) Kagan endorsing her RECENTLY and advising her? How do you explain the goddamn disasters she helped create in Libya and Syria--and in Honduras! Honduras is classic Kissinger. Libya and Syria are classic Kagan.
So, these three evildoers are ALL playing a game on Clinton? I don't think so. I see the hard evidence of their advice. I don't know what Kissinger and Cheney are up to, but I think I DO know what Kagan is up to--he wants the neocons to ride back into the White House on Hillary Clinton. And I don't for a minute believe that she is a naive victim of this plan. She DOES sell herself to everyone with power and money, but, once again, the evidence is that she has already re-started the PNAC program for the ME.
I can see that this must be very hard to take in, for someone committed to Clinton. But perhaps you can understand why the rest of us are so upset and so angry. My anger goes back all the way to the Vietnam War, which Kissinger expanded into Cambodia and Laos, and the final toll was TWO MILLION PEOPLE killed, and nearly 60,000 U.S. soldiers!
That Clinton would closely associate with such an evil man should disqualify her from being a Democratic candidate for anything, let alone president.

(5,082 posts)Yeah I know he didn't actually endorse her. But just a suggestion or tone of approval is absurdly revolting. I have never in my life seen some democrats defend the abhorrent behavior that Clinton displays. It really makes me question people's hypocrisy and seems more about human nature than right or wrong. From my perspective it's as mind boggling as people blindly following Bush when he clearly was screwing people. It so obvious that Bernie is the only one on either side with pure honesty and humility. The argument from the Clinton crew was that's great but he's unelectable. That has been proven wrong and he fairs better against every republican than she does. So why aren't these defenders joining Bernie now? Maybe it was never about electability.
