If Kerry had won in 2004, there would have been no Obama in 2008

Regardless of how you feel about either man, I think we can all agree that democrats will not put up a serious primary challenge against an incumbent. If Kerry had won in 2004, he would have been the party's nominee in 2008.

A lot of people on this board would have us believe that every election is life or death for the United States. But there will be an election in 2020 regardless of who wins in 2016. If Hillary Clinton wins in 2016, she will run again as an incumbent and inevitably she will be the party's candidate in 2020. She may or may not win in 2020, but either way the next time we will see a different democratic presidential candidate will be in 2024.

Would I ever advocate against voting for a democratic presidential candidate? No. But if she does not win, the world will not come to an end. There will be another election in 4 years and there will not be an "inevitable" democratic candidate waiting for coronation.

Many of us are not so privileged that we can afford to risk Trump.

5. Not as President in 2008, but maybe 2012 or 2016

Obama would have done at least the same good things he did as Senator in the first two years and likely more as he would not have run against a Democratic President, but he would have been impressive enough to run against John Edwards, especially if he was as lame a VP as VP nominee.

Kerry was the one who saw Obama's potential and gave him that speech thinking he would have a good future in the Democratic party. In fact, in Boston on the eve of the 2008 election, he joked that in 2004 he saw that Obama would be a good President, but he thought it would be after he had served 8 years.

And Trump is 10 times worse than George W Bush, and is a man who would appoint himself president for life were he to win.

You could say the same thing about Al Gore and 9/11. If that had happened under a democratic president we'd never hear the end of it.

8. Republican policies had a lot to do with that crash. Specifically massive tax cuts to the wealthy

catastrophic consequences.

Are you really OK with Trump or Cruz selecting two, possibly three SC judges?

The consequences of that wont go away after four years. The consequences would last for decades, and and they would be devastating.

The GOP MUST be defeated this election

Don't blame Bernie Sanders supporters for Hillary Clinton being a bad candidate.

12. Huh? Hillary will win...By a landslide. She's the only candidate who has more votes than Trump

And she has over two million and a half more votes than Sanders.

So, even with people like you encouraging not voting for her: "Would I ever advocate against voting for a democratic presidential candidate? No". GMAB She will win.

Just because you will take your ball home because you didn't get your way doesn't mean she will lose.

Women, GLBT, blacks, Hispanics, Muslims will vote in droves for her.

Even millennials have said they will support Hillary over Trump

Hillary has this, with or without you.

I'd much prefer that it'd be with you, but hey, it your choice.
