(3,830 posts)Bernie did great.
He ran a better than expected campaign, he raised his issues, and he excited younger voters.
That's a success.
Clinton did not pull such rat-fucking tactics over this primary her win might actually be seen as something more than a Karl Rove like rat-fuckfest to some Sanders supporters.

(3,830 posts)It's always been rough and it's always been dirty.
The names change but the process has always been like this.
Bernies supporters are pissed because they lost. In 08 Hillarys
supporters were pissed because she lost, in 04 Deans supporters were
pissed because he lost.
Bernie ran a great underdog insurgent campaign. If supporters are seriously
dedicated to his issues then they need to stay involved and start working now
for what the want in 4 or 8 or even 20 years.
Some will, most won't. They'll get busy with school and jobs and families.
Had Bernie really wanted to be president then he should have started back in 08.
Building alliances gathering his support.
Hillary isn't accidentally winning, she's not ripping on Bernie.
She planned and worked and yes even compromised to get here.
That's how real life works.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
