But I can cuss in 6 and get around in about 8.
I learned if you can say: Hello, please, thank you, where is the bathroom, and how much, you can survive pretty much anywhere.

6 years of German in high school/college. I keep it from withering and dying in my brain through exercises and such, but I can't say that I ever had a chance to use it properly.

One day I'll make the pilgrimage to Germany and find out exactly how horrible I am at the language.

6. I speak German with a Viennese accent. That's almost like someone from TX in London.

3. I've almost got English down. Took French in school, barely remember any of it. Also tried teaching

myself Irish Gaelic with books and tapes, but got stuck and gave up.

I can read Hebrew and understand it pretty well, but my conversational skills are not good.
